Dr. (Pharm). Her academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Havana, Cuba, followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, she furthered her education with an MA in Human Resource Management and specialized in Clinical Pharmacy with focus on Infectious Diseases. Additionally, she holds certifications in various domains related to healthcare administration, management, and leadership.

In her roles as the Head of Pharmacy Department in several prominent healthcare institutions and as a Specialist Pharmacist at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Smart plays a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance. Beyond her administrative responsibilities, she actively mentors students and resident pharmacists, coordinates committees, and oversees crucial pharmacy operations.

Outside her professional obligations, Dr. Smart dedicates herself to community outreach and health education initiatives, particularly focusing on combatting HIV/AIDS and malaria.
